Marc Bookman Joins Bob Clark Everyday Law to Discuss the end of capital punishment.

Marc Bookman joined Everyday Law and host, Bob Clark to discuss his latest book,  A Descending Spiral: Exposing the Death Penalty in 12 Essays.

Marc is the executive director of the Atlantic Center for Capital Representation and has extensive historic involvement in capital cases through his long work with the homicide unit of the Defender Association of Philadelphia.

Bob and Marc discussed at length the common elements of death penalty cases and sentences. Not surprisingly, poverty, racism and prosecutorial misconduct pervade these cases.

Marc is optimistic that capital punishment will cease in the United States albeit accomplished on a state by state basis rather than through an opinion by the United States Supreme Court.
