Howard County State's Attorney, Rich Gibson has been a guest on Howard County Community College's Everyday Law with Host, Bob Clark on several prior occasions and his appearances always generate considerable interest.
His most recent visit was no exception as Rich leapt into the complexities of running a prosecutor's office during covid days. the nation's increased homicide rate ( thankfully not true in Howard County, Maryland) and new programs being pursued by his office to reduce prosecution and incarceration for lesser offenses.
The so-called Lead program originated in King County, Washington some ten years ago and is being actively pursued in conjunction with the Howard County Sheriff's Office and the Howard County Police Department.
