It may be early yet, but the world of car and truck accidents in Maryland is evolving in unexpected ways.
Fewer injured victims are contacting lawyers as the roads are less active. Listen to the traffic on the radio or the web and the Beltway is running smoothly around the DMV at rush hour. Barely even hear of the Occoquan any more.
But the crashes that are happening are more severe. People are driving much faster on the area's uncrowded roadways and some of them are driving more aggressively and in some instances recklessly. So when a crash happens it is likely more significant with greater injuries.
So. be careful out there. It's a new normal.
