Maryland Jury Trials Halted By Chief Judge's Order

Unfortunately, the increased incidence of coronavirus cases in Maryland has resulted in the halting of all jury trials for the forseeable future. Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera is stopping in court trials including jury trials for at least until December 31, 2020.

Remote proceedings will be the order of the day.

The ripple effect of this on case scheduling will continue for years both in state and federal courts, Stay tuned.
