Maryland Federal Court opts for ZoomGov for settlement conferences.

virtual courtThe pandemic has necessitated adaptation on the part of courts and lawyers alike and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland is opting for ZoomGov for settlement conferences.

Historically, such conferences in front of magistrate judges have been held in person and in the view of this writer, have been highly effective. Evidently ZoomGov has greater security features than Zoom and allows the judge to break out into smaller groupings for candid discussions.

It will be fascinating to see how effective such conferences prove to be.
