The Maryland State Bar Association provides many important services to the public and its members. Among the most important are those supporting lawyers who are battling mental and physical health issues including alcoholism and drug addiction.
Everyday Law is pleased and honored to welcome LIsa Caplan LCSW-C to the program on Monday February 1, 2021 to discuss her role as the director of the lawyer assistance program.
Lisa is a graduate of the University of Maryland at Baltimore where she obtained an MSW with a specialization in Employee Assistance Programs. She has more than twenty years of experience in her field and provides services to judges, lawyers, law students and their family members.
It is anticipated that Host Robert Clark will talk about the prevalence of mental health and addiction issues in the legal community and will focus on how to recognize the need for help. Undoubtedly covid-19 will be an important topic.
