!00% of the lawyers at Clark and Steinhorn live In Highland, Maryland, so one can imagine the excitement at the imminent opening of the Highland Inn. Highlanders were thrilled with the prospect of a high quality local restaurant and the gradual erection of the edifice near the intersection of Route 108 and Highland Road, was observed with great enthusiasm.
Unfortunately the opening in 2012 signs gave way to similarly inaccurate opening in 2013 signs. A great deal of seeming, finalizing activity has been going on of late and a blurb in today's "HowChow" in the Baltimore Sun bodes well. http://howchow.blogspot.com/2013/12/who-says-you-need-to-eat-in-shopping.html
A quick tour of the Highland Inn's website is less than informative but one can divine that meat and wine will be served and that the proprietor, Brian Boston, is a much decorated chef in association with The Milton Inn in Sparks, Maryland.
Curiously, Google/ Zagat, purports to have reviewed the Highland Inn, with four "Zagat Users" rating the unopened restaurant between four and two stars for visits a year ago. It must be one heck of a restaurant to garner four stars when more than a year away from opening.
Allan and Bob look forward to the real opening and aspire to be regular patrons. Reviews to follow. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and good eating in 2014.
