Truck to truck crash closes Baltimore Beltway

A six o'clock in the morning crash between two trucks closed I-695 at Route 40 for several hours this morning, Tuesday July 20, 2010. The Catonsville( http://www.catonsville.org/) crash involved a box truck rear-ending a tractor-trailer at Route 40.

The box truck driver was taken to the University of Maryland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The timing of the crash, just before rush hour resulted in traffic chaos with traffic being diverted onto Route 40 to skirt the accident investigation.
