Tragic Post-Prom-crash kills one injures four in Virginia

It is every parent's fear, prom night. Every year teenagers die in crashes on their way to post-prom destinations. Sometimes there are drugs or  alcohol involved, often excessive speed. But as we learned in our recent blog, teens at night are so dangerous to themselves and others. http://www.maryland-law.com/blog/teens-and-night-time-driving-deadly-combination.cfm

The recurrent problem of multiple teen passengers reinforcing dangerous behaviors appeared to be a factor in the death of one teen and significant injuries to three others in a crash early Sunday morning. The incident happened in King George, Virginia. The operator and passengers were not wearing seat belts and all were ejected from their vehicle when it crashed into a utility pole.

Our hearts are with the families and our thoughts turn to saving other promising young people who might be inclined to eschew safety belts when in the company of their peers. Please buckle up.
