Motorcycle Crash Safety Plans

Overall the incidence of motorcycle crashes has steadily declined. Nonetheless, when they occur they often result in wrongful death and severe injury. The federal government devotes extensive resources to reducing them.

The latest emphases focus on five areas. These are reduction of alcohol related motorcycle crash deaths, increased helmet usage, improvement in highway design, more comprehensive motorcycle training and education programs and reduction of other driver errors.
