Ever since the catastrophic June 22nd, 2009 Fort Totten Metro crash, the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority has been under vast public scrutiny. The most comprehensive post-crash evaluation was recently released by the so-called Tri-State Oversight Committee.

The gist is that Metro has along way to go in reporting hazards and problems and training its employees. It does appear that they are trying and continued scrutiny will keep them at the task.
