A late night robbery at the Tastee Diner in Laurel, Maryland culminated in car crash chaos on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, as the theives escaped. The incident brought 295 to a halt as the escaping criminals crashed into multiple vehicles en route to freedom. As with many such events, the take from the robbery was only $140.00 but the cost to drivers on the Parkway was vastly greater.
Park Police report seven other vehicles involved in crashes with the escape vehicle which ultimately halted between Maryland 197 and Maryland 198, where another vehicle was carjacked at gunpoint and was utilized for a successful escape. The question a month later, was anybody ever caught?
