A Frederick County man purportedly rammed two different cars on I-295 on Saturday night in what police describe as an alcohol related road rage incident.
The calamitous chain of events unfolded on the Baltimore Washington Parkway as a Nissan Titan truck reportedly drove erratically culminating in it striking a Subaru. The operator of the truck and his passenger drove away and then stopped in the roadway bringing traffic to a halt. They then went back to the stopped Subaru and began striking it with their fists and legs whereupon a Pontiac stopped to render assistance.
The police were summoned and the Truck then pursued the Pontiac ultimately striking it in the rear and side causing it to spin off the roadway. The truck driver then lost control of his vehicle causing it to cross the median into Northbound traffic, overturning multiple times and coming to rest on a Honda Civic.
The final crash ejected the truck's operator and he and his passenger were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of serious personal injuries.
Injury reports for other drivers are unavailable at present.
