A Thanksgiving morning crash in Prince Georges County on Watkins Park Drive nearly proved fatal, except for the bravery of two other drivers. The crash injured one of the participants badly enough that she could not emerge from her car which caught fire.

Two good Samaritan drivers, one from Prince Georges County and one from Anne Arundel County  happened upon the crash scene and worked to extract the driver of the burning car and move her to safety.

Andre Matlock of Upper Marlboro and Johnnie Wichard of Lothian were driving near the scene and saw a car catch fire and they heroically intervened. The burning car's driver and another vehicle operator were taken to an area trauma hospital for care.
