Frederick County Judge awards $1.65 million for shooting death.

A Frederick County, Maryland Judge awarded the surviving mother of a young man who was the victim of an accidental shooting, $1.65 million as compensation for his death. Judge John H. Tisdale awarded $1.0 million dollars for wrongful death and $650,000.00 for a survivorship action.

Brian Gregory Stone shot and killed Michael Abraham Brall after an evening of drinking. Mr. Stone was acquitted of manslaughter in a criminal case derived from the same incident. The gun which brought about Mr. Brall's demise belonged to Mr. Stone's roomate.
