Flooding Continues To Cause Court Closings

Severe flooding caused by torrential rains over the last few days has caused several courts in Maryland to close today.  The Circuit Courts in Charles County and Prince George's County are closed, as is the District Court in Upper Marlboro.  The District Court for Prince George's County in Hyattsville remains open today.

If you have a court matter, and need to know whether the court is open, you can go to this site:

Many roads in Prince George's County, Maryland are currently closed due to high waters.  For a list of road closures today, Friday September 9, 2011, see:

Floodwaters continue to rise in some areas.  Two people died yesterday in Viriginia as a result of flooding. Please use extra caution if you see rising waters on the roadways: do not drive through them-it may save your life.
