Federal Aviation Administration Just Says No to Crash Victim

A catastrophic 2008 Medevac helicopter crash killed 4 including the pilot and now the Federal Aviation Administration has denied liability for the lone survivor. Jordan Wells has filed a lawsuit through her attorney which was denied in June by the FAA.

The crash in 2008 cost Ms. Wells her leg and she has undergone numerous surgical procedures. The lawsuit alleges that untimely weather information was a factor in the crash and that the post-crash search and rescue was carried out negligently.

As reported here previously the National Transportation Safety Board concluded in 2009 that outdated weather information and pilot lack of proficiency in instrument landings were contributing factors in this deadly crash. for more see: http://www.maryland-law.com/blog/many-failures-cited-in-2008-maryland-medevac-helicopter-crash.cfm
