Deadly Howard County crash Closes Route 70 West of Route 29

A deadly crash occured this morning on Route 70 in Howard County, Maryland just West of Route 29. The net effect was complete closure of Route 70 in both directions near Marriottsville

An overturned box truck apparently resulted in a fuel spill. http://www.wbal.com/absolutenm/templates/story.aspx?articleid=51864&zoneid=48

It is reported that a state Medical examiner is on the scene and doubtless the Maryland State Police are reconstructing the fatal events. Reports from different area media outlets are somewhat in conflict and we will update this blog as soon as more information is recived.
