A deadly Prince Georges County car crash in 2010 has resulted in the conviction of a Beltsville, Maryland woman on charges of vehicular manslaughter, homicide by motor vehicle, driving while suspended and drunk driving. Jenny Mate struck and killed two men on Riggs road in Adelphi on February 1, 2010.

The defendant was reportedly driving her Cadillac at twice the speed limit in a Prince Georges County residential neighborhood with a blood alcohol of 0.15, when she encountered Roy Lacayo and Justo Rosario, Jr. who were exchanging information in the aftermath of a minor crash.

The sentencing will take place on July 12, 2011 and could yield a sentenece of more than twenty years in prison.
