Chrysler Joins the Recall Club!

Chrysler announced a widespread recall of mini-vans and jeeps which potentially could lose braking capabilities owing to a braking problem stemming from fenders on the vehicles rubbing against brake tubes which could in turn cause brake fluid leakage. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/recalls/recallresults.cfm?start=1&SearchType=DateSearch&date=06/01/2010&type=V&SCR323=false&summary=true&prod_id=0&PrintVersion=YES

This affliction concerns Jeep Wranglers manufactured between 2006 and 2010 and effects their right front and left rear brake tubes. The loss of brake service can in turn lead to car crashes.

Also, 2007 Dodge Caliber and Jeep Compass vehicles are being recalled due to a propensity for accelerator pedal sticking issues. Obviously, this is a very dangerous condition and was seen in the massive Toyota recall earlier this year. http://www.maryland-law.com/library/toyota-fine-largest-in-history.cfm

Finally, Chrysler is also recalling certain 2008 and 2009 Town and Country and  Grand Caravan mini-vans due to a hazard stemming from a condition where a sliding door bracket could come into contact with wiring thus creating a fire hazard. Wow.
