A Wednesday morning car accident last week ed to the death of one driver and shut down Route 70 in Howard County, Maryland for approximately one hour.  The crash occurred near Route 32, and closed down both directions of Route 70.  Two cars were involved in the collision.

Emergency Medical Personel removed one driver from his car who was trapped in his vehicle.  That driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash was not reported.  With speeds at 65 mph on that stretch of Route 70, it is important that all drivers pay full time and attention to the road.  At speeds that high, the time to react is much less than at lower speeds.

Ourt thoughts and prayers are with the family of the deceased driver.  Please use caution this summer on the highways.
