Bus Crashes Into Construction Truck: Sends 13 Passengers to Local Hospitals

A commuter bus carrying passengers during morning rush hour crashed into the rear of a large truck, sending the truck crashing into a car in front of it.  Thirteen passengers were taken to local hospitals in the Vienna, Virginia area, although initial reports are that none of the injuries was serious.  Photographs published in the Washington Post show the severity of the crash.

The roadways in the Washington metropolitan area are amongst the most congested roadways in the country.  If you drive regularly in the area during rush hour, you know how difficult driving can be during these hours.  As reported here previously, the biggest cause of these car and truck crashes is speed and driver inattention.
