Beltway truck Crash Damages Overpass
The prospect of springtime repairs to the Southbound I-95 overpass on the Baltimore Beltway does not auger well for traffic conditions in the aftermath of Monday's truck crash with the bridge.The flatbed truck operated by Six M Co. Inc. was carrying an excavator under the overpass for I-95 without a permit required for carrying a load more than 13 feet 6 inches high and boom a collision took place with the overpass. Estimates of the cost of damage repair will be quite substantial.
Authorities suggest that the bridge over the beltway is safe but will close the shoulder of the roadway. It seems that no one sustained personal injuries in the crash.
