A Prince George's County school bus driver left his bus which was occupied by students and it drifted across Power Mill Road in Beltsville and struck an elementary school student. The victim ended up under the bus and was pulled from beneath it by a passerby.
The incident took place around 7:15 am this morning at High Point High School in Beltsville. The bus driver reportedly needed to use the bathroom and was arrested for leaving the children unattended.
It seems unfathomable that a bus with students on board was not secured from movement before its driver let it.
