Another Deadly Train Derailment This Time in New York

Posted on Dec 01, 2013

A Metro-North train derailed in the Bronx killing 4 passengers and injuring 48 this morning. The incident took place around 7:20 am and has halted Amtrak service between Albany and New York City. Northeast corridor service between Boston and Washington, D.C. is unaffected.

Five of the seven cars derailed near the Harlem River and the effect on holiday travelers is as yet unknown. This is the second holiday week derailment and appears far worse than this week's South Carolina derailment. http://www.maryland-law.com/news/amtrak-derailment-augers-difficult-travel-week.cfm
