One Person Killed, Three Others Injured By Driver Fleeing Police In Stolen Car
In another horrific crash that led to tragedy for several families, the driver of a stolen vehicle being chased by police crashed and caused a three car collision that killed one person and injured three others, as well as the driver of the stolen vehicle. Law enforcement officials identified Michael D. Brown, age 40, of the District of Columbia, as the driver of the stolen vehicle that caused the crash.
According to the police, a deputy in West Virginia saw Brown speeding, and when the officer tried to pull him over, Brown sped up, and fled from the deputy. The deputy then called local authorites when Brown crossed into Virginia, where the crash occurred, and where he was apprehended. Authorities report that Brown was driving a stolen vehicle, and was wanted on a probation violation in connection with grand larceny charges in Arlington.
The incident is under investigation.
