Metrobus Crashes on 395. 18 students being evaluated.

A Metrobus and a car crashed into each other today on 395 near Maine Avenue in the District of Columbia. 18 students on board the bus are being evaluated and two occupants of the car were taken to area hospitals.

Evidently none of the injuries are reported by the District of Columbia Fire Department to be serious.

While overall Maryland and the District of Columbia have very safe transportation systems the sheer number of people using them and the nature of the buses and trains utilized results in catastrophic injuries on a fairly routine basis.
