Ford and Mercury Join the Recall Club for Accelerator Pedal Sticking ?

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration announced a warning to 2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan drivers not to place any unsecured floor mats on top of the driver's side carpet as they have received reports of
accelerator pedals sticking.

NHTSA has received three complaints of gas pedals being stuck in the on position as a result of improper use of Ford "All-Weather" mats on top of existing carpet.

No complaints of crashes or injuries have presently been forthcoming. Let's hope it's not Toyota all over again. http://www.maryland-law.com/library/toyota-fine-largest-in-history.cfm
