Flaming Dishwasher Recall

Maytag announced a recall of more than 1.7 million dishwashers owing to a propensity to catch on fire. A heating element problem is evidently the source of the fires.

The dishwashers are manufactured by Maytag but include brands such as Amana, Jenn-Air, Admiral and Magic Chef.
