A 25 year old construction worker died of his injuries August 19th when an eight foot high  trench collapsed on top of him at a construdtion site in Severn, Maryland.  Despite the best efforts of construction workers and emergency rescue personel, the worker could not be saved.

Anne Aundel County and Howard County special operations teams used special equipment to rapidly remove the collapsed dirt over a period of two hours.  The incident is under investigation by MOSHA as well as the fire department.  The loss is a terrible tragedy and our thougths and prayers go out to the family.
