Bay Bridge Tractor Trailer Crash Causes Injuries and Traffic Chaos
An early afternoon crash on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge caused hours of traffic delays and injuries to seven passengers of a GMC Acadia which was struck in the rear by a tractor trailer. The truck was in turn struck in the rear by a Ford pickup. Neither the Ford driver nor the tractor trailer driver were reportedly injured. One of the occupants of the GMC Acadia was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center.The crash closed the East-bound lanes of the Bay Bridge for two hours and caused havoc with the West-bound lanes as well.
