Word of another deadly incident in Washington's Metro system has come out. The tragedy unfolded in the vicinity of the L'Enfant Plaza station where smoke filled the station and sadly one of the trains. Reports suggest that at least one fatality occurred and that more than eighty people, some in serious condition, were evacuated to area hospitals.
Initial reports suggest breakdowns in Metro communications and substantially delayed response times contributed to the extent of the injuries. No cause has yet been suggested.
